Our Story

Our classical model charter school, Naples Classical Academy, opened in Fall 2021. It is receiving academic support from Hillsdale College through its Barney Charter School Initiative and is also part of the Optima Foundation family of schools. Applications for the student selection lottery are now being received on our website and Parent Information Meetings are being added to the calendar. For parents that are seeking a more challenging, inspirational school experience for their child, this is the perfect place.

The campus, located at 10270 Immokalee Road, will include a 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art school facility,  sports field, a future gymnasium and much more. NCA is a tuition-free public charter school. The school’s classical education model will offer students a sound curriculum based on the traditions of the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue.

The Governing Board of Naples Classical has worked diligently to bring this high-quality classical school choice to the Naples community and are very excited to offer this amazing opportunity to all of you. “We are steadfast in our mission to deliver an exceptional academic experience through a proven, world-class curriculum,” NCA Chairman of the Board, Matt Mathias said. “Our school leaders are completely committed to the critical charge of developing virtuous, engaged, ethical, gracious and honorable citizens."

Our 2023-2024  year will take applications for kindergarten through 12th grade and will be open to approximately 1050 students, selected by random lottery. Grades will be added each year to reach K-12 with a total capacity of approximately 1,200 students.
